Not everything lives up to the marketing. These are a few things I’ve tried, considered or encountered that didn’t justify the hype.
Not everything deserves a permanent place in my life. These are the products I’ve bought, tried and won’t be buying again. They didn’t work for me, didn’t justify the price or simply failed to live up to the hype.
Il Makiage Foundation
Why it got binned: The marketing was excellent. The foundation wasn’t. I found it heavy, cakey & overpriced and no better than products costing a fraction of the price. It simply didn’t earn a second purchase.
Polarwise Sweat Absorbing Moisturiser
Why it got binned: I’m glad I bought the sample pack first. It saved me spending considerably more on the full-size products. Claims to keep skin drier in hot weather – Tested druing a heatwave week (32–34°C) walking the dog in a shaded area. No noticable difference.
